NORFOLK

An album written and produced by students and faculty at Old Dominion University is available for download.

Work began on the project, now titled "Eye of the Storm," in December. "The Monarchy," a student organization for students seeking Music Production degrees, met and decided to make the album to support ODU Relay for Life. They were considering the name "Big Blue Mix," but have since switched to their student organization name.

Students began writing songs during their winter break and recording started in the new studio a few weeks later.

The album offers 28 tracks costs $9.99. The net proceeds from the album sales will go to Relay for Life.

It will be a focus to monitor the content to maintain the values Diversal wants the platform to reflect; creativity, collaboration, diversity, and positivity.

You will have to register, but it will be free and fast with your Facebook or twitter account. It is only if you are interested in being a writer/contributor for Diversal that you will be given certain access levels to the backend.  Other than that, every user will be on an  equal pane, to comment on articles, share content to their own pages, or participate in campaigns by posting or voting on content.

Initially we will use social media to push the event to others while using the word of mouth amongst local followers and reps, or artists themselves.  But after the launch of the site, we will utilize community group gathering programs such as Meetup, to sustain a consistent group of creatives; which once our international audiences increase we will encourage followers in different states and countries to create their own Diversal community groups.

However within the past decade or two, Ced has taken a liken for stimulating the dance scene in Central/Northern Virgina. His caliber of work sets him apart, as he mixes his sets live AND ITS EFFING AMAZING. While only a few of his 45 minute to 1 hour+ mixes are accessible online (see below), you definitely want to make sure you see him live.  This email address is being protected from spambots.
