Sam Robbins

One listen to Sam Robbins smooth and soulful voice, and we've become fans.  New England native, Sam’s voice is described as a blend between James Taylor and Jason Isbel, yet his acoustic vibe still sets him a part.  Serenating covers from Earth Wind & Fire, to Stevie Wonder, to Ed Sheeran, to Beyoncé and more, including his amazing rendition of Blackstreet's - No diggity No Doubt, plus originals, all can be found on his youtube and shows his versatility as a singer.

Pandora, the online music streaming platform is great for music discovery and promotion, whether for advertisers, or independent musicians (and even comedians). However as good as that may sound for the independent artist, Pandora actually restricts its platform for users outside of the US due to, according to Slashdot, licensing issues. Nonetheless, according to Triphackr, there are ways to experience that platform if this affects you.

Strategy 1:

For the independent artist who lives outside of the U.S interested in submitting their music to Pandora, work with someone who does live in the U.S or check out this link  from Pandora.

This strategy, working with a team within the U.S, Diversal, worked for versatile Venezuelan singer, Jonah Ramirez.  We were able to get him on Pandora and now can be found by either typing in his name or his single titled 'Vida'. Here is Jonah Ramirez's Pandora Station.

Strategy 2:

For the individual inside the U.S, follow these steps. After submission, you'll get an email letting you know about the next steps.   You may get another email several weeks to a few months after that letting you know where they are in the process, however the email letting you know that the station has been created and now searchable takes about 5 - 6 months.  Long wait time, but worth it! It may have took longer because the artist was located out of the U.S.

CdBaby put out a great article to follow to get on Pandora.

WikiHow also has a great article on the process that has images also to follow.

"A mysterious girl pursues a young man in her new small town home..."

In 2012, brilliant film director Eric Chaney, released his Independent project he had been working on for several of years prior, Indigo Children.  Stemming from not only his own personal experience, but any young love story, Indigo Children went on to win Best of Show: The Accolade Competition, and win Official Selections in the 2012 Gotham Screen International Film Festival, and the 2012 Big Apple Film Festival.

After selling out the first day at Quad Cinema, NYC for its Theatrical Release in February 2014, the film slowly began to reach attention across the country, even being used in Zilversurf's video, which was releaed by the Poets Club Records, featuring the one and only, Lykke Li  - "Céu Sem Fim (Edit)".

Read a small synopsis about the film from Peter Martin of Screenanarchy.com, showing love all the way from Dallas, Texas.

Starring Isabelle McNally who was also in Before I Disappear, Christine Donlon who is also known for her roles on Entourage, and Robert Olsen, Indigo Children takes us on a nostalgic trip of teenage love and introspection.  Do you really know what an Indigo Child is? See if you can figure it out in this exclusive clip from the film on Vimooz.

From its first release in 2012, to its theatrical release in 2014, Indigo Children is now available on iTunes, IMDB, Amazon and more.

Angelle

Angelle is an R&B/Soul singer-songwriter out of Brooklyn, New York. Growing up in a musical family, she was always encouraged to follow her dream and aspire to great things in life, as well as in music. By the time Angelle was five years of age, she knew that singing was what she wanted to do, and by the age of ten she was writing her own music. Her biggest influence might have been her father, who believed in her dream from the time she was a little girl - but in fact, she feels that everybody in her life has contributed to her creative goals in some way, shape or form. Not least of all, two of her uncles enjoyed great commercial success in Haitian music, a legacy she is determined to carry on.

- (See videos below)

Angelle has won several awards for her songwriting, starting in high school with the Grammy Day competition, and more recently making it to the semi-finals in the Song of The Year contest for her original song Why. Inspired by the iconic voices of Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Motown, Chaka Khan, Anita Baker, Mary J Blige, Jazmine Sullivan, Lauryn Hill, Patti Labelle, Marvin Gaye, Bessie Smith, Billie Holiday and Sara Vaughn, she dreams of playing the part of Aretha in a yet-to-be-made biopic, and hopes to one day sing the national anthem at the Super Bowl. Her debut EP Rêvé (Life’s But a Dream) was released in 2015, and promises to be a moment like so many others in her life, one that leads her on to something greater. Angelle is a graduate of the University of Albany, and is proud to have been part of the Open Door Scholarship program.

- (Video Performance below)

When she isn’t making music, she is passionate about humanitarian pursuits, and has been instrumental in building a foundation to help bring the arts back to the lives of Haitian children. In life as well as in music, and especially in honor of her family and heritage, Angelle will always carry the torch for the legacy left behind and continue to explore its boundless potential. In 2016 Angelle decided to release her new materials that signifies the growth of the acceptance of who she was becoming. Angelle's new single 12 am is very explicit. This song exploits Angelle's grown and mature side. Angelle is also currently working on new materials and cant wait to share them with her fans

The following clips were from Angelle's performance at Caffe Vivaldi Never Stop Loving You Marry You - Original Why Neither One of Us Stuck On You - Original Dance With Somebody (Whitney Houston Cover)
