Smokehouse Smokehouse

Canadian duo Smokehouse is the musical experience led by Daniel MacKenzie and Peter Mol. Both had been touring for years as international session musicians and songwriters before being introduced at a Music Festival. Ever since then, they’ve been making music magic, writing some incredible indie, pop ad funk fusion that undeniably attests to their musical partnership.

Their collaboration has brought about a unique sound, a mix of vintage and contemporary recording equipment. This approach is captured in their latest single “Brazil.”

A hazy, warm and dreamy concoction heavily invested in synths, this is a great vibrant number shimmering with blissful beats and groovy bass lines. The vibe felt very sun-kissed and will have listeners reminiscing about summer. Filled with a sparkling sound packed with euphoria and warmth, the sound is a laidback production that will leave you mellow and intoxicated by the great indie pop grooves. A surreal sonic landscape that sits somewhere between fantasy and reality, the song is about loving somebody so much it hurts. With the winter months now setting in, “Brazil” really places you in the headspace for another time and place. The music and vibes will transport you. Have a listen.
