Sound Featured

Stefon Simmons aka "Sound" is an Experimental R&B, Neo-Soul Singer from Brooklyn, NY. Covering your favorite classics from Marvin Gaye, to Seal, to Daft Punk, to Maxwell, to Miguel and many more, Sound's 15-track experimental cover project is a good representation of his range of vocals, a collection of inspiratonal voices-interpreted and presented in all its imperfections.

Artist Bio:SOUND is an adventurous talent. His 90s R&B roots, acappella choral training and fascination with connecting us all, are all presented through his music with a harmonic groove that soothes. Born in Baltimore, MD and raised in the low-country of South Carolina and suburbs of Northern Virginia, Stefon brought his sound and lyrics to Brooklyn, New York in 2013. Self-Producing “A Sound Project: The Covers” in 2013 as a one-man acappella group, Stefon began to make his rounds to the local open mics on a weekly basis, honing his performance presence and landing various artist spotlights. It was at these open mics, that Stefon got involved with the local spoken word artists and poets. This was an element he desired to hear intertwined throughout his own compositions.

He spent the next 4 years continuing to perform throughout New York City and Philadelphia, PA, including an annual summer, Sunset on the Hudson, pier gig where he is accompanied with acoustic guitar, in front of an audience of 200 people for 4 nights. During this time, he also began to work with writer Jayson Youngblood, performing for his R&B Night showcase and starring in the music video for his song “Help Me”, garnishing over 4,000 video views on his facebook page.

Stefon released his first EP, entitled “Appreciated” on June 9, 2017. The EP is a brief presentation of the commitment and love that one should embody in order to rise to the occasion of a relationship with good intentions. The sound and tone is upbeat and ballad. Celebratory and thoughtful. He hopes that when you hear it, you have fun and are reminded to show appreciation for the special ones in your life. (source:stefonsimmons.me)

Farma Wesley Featured

Farma Wes

There is only one Farma Wes.  Packed with lethal metaphors, and Mike Tyson-like punchlines, Farma Wes has only been teasing us with his recent projects of whats to come.  Making every project a visual-project accompanied with videos,  one search of 'Farma Wes' on any browser will be a good introduction to the collection of music he has created and been a part of. You can also find a good article recently written about him on EarMilk for his project Rosegold Nightmare prod. by the one and only Bodi.  Back track a few years ago, make sure you don't overlook Farma's project Feng Shui that had the entire DMV lit.  This was covered by the Washington City Paper.

When it comes to hip hop music, this guy is more than just a "rapper". He's universal; crafting his outward vibrations out of emotion and real life experiences. For him, this is more than music. Born and raised in Fredericksburg, VA, Era has been submerged in an musical environment of hip hop, house, and R&B his entire life. Being that his father has been a disc jockey from the time he was born, Era naturally picked up the turntables by age 7. By age 13, Era was dabbling in and out of music production until he reached 17. Once he realized that his production was slow to get off the ground he decided to take a different approach, rap. Era spent his savings on a in-home studio setup and recorded and engineered his very first mixtape. From there, his legacy began. (Source: Soundcloud)
