One listen to Sam Robbins smooth and soulful voice, and we've become fans. New England native, Sam’s voice is described as a blend between James Taylor and Jason Isbel, yet his acoustic vibe still sets him a part. Serenating covers from Earth Wind & Fire, to Stevie Wonder, to Ed Sheeran, to Beyoncé and more, including his amazing rendition of Blackstreet's - No diggity No Doubt, plus originals, all can be found on his youtube and shows his versatility as a singer.

Pandora, the online music streaming platform is great for music discovery and promotion, whether for advertisers, or independent musicians (and even comedians). However as good as that may sound for the independent artist, Pandora actually restricts its platform for users outside of the US due to, according to Slashdot, licensing issues. Nonetheless, according to Triphackr, there are ways to experience that platform if this affects you.
For the independent artist who lives outside of the U.S interested in submitting their music to Pandora, work with someone who does live in the U.S or check out this link from Pandora.
This strategy, working with a team within the U.S, Diversal, worked for versatile Venezuelan singer, Jonah Ramirez. We were able to get him on Pandora and now can be found by either typing in his name or his single titled 'Vida'. Here is Jonah Ramirez's Pandora Station.
For the individual inside the U.S, follow these steps. After submission, you'll get an email letting you know about the next steps. You may get another email several weeks to a few months after that letting you know where they are in the process, however the email letting you know that the station has been created and now searchable takes about 5 - 6 months. Long wait time, but worth it! It may have took longer because the artist was located out of the U.S.
Whelp, you know what time it is! The weather is turning, the air is ripe with flower jizzum, even the birds are chirping: It's Festival time!
Time to empty your wallets (quickly, quickly, tickets selling fast) in $100, $200, $300, even $400 increments in order to get the best "live music" experience as possible. By that I mean a drunk lead singer who sounds nothing like the album you have been playing on repeat more days of your year than not, bright LED lights sweeping over yourself like a multi-colored rainbow facial, and definitely the musk and weed smoke of your fellow mosh pitters.
With shows like Bonnaroo, Coachella, even the great Burning Man entering the mainstream atmosphere year after year, it's getting harder and harder for me to remember where the point of it all really lies. You go to a live show to support your favorite artists, as well as discover new sounds and vibes. That seems pretty sensible, right?
So what happens if the venue isn't paying artists as well as they could, or should? What happens if you're favorite festival-next-door is now sponsored by Heineken and Hooters? Now you're in the middle of 40,000 of your closest friends, eating $7 hot dogs and drinking $8 beers. I'm a young man, so forgive me for my ignorance of how times were before I came of age, but it appears to me that festivals have lost their soul. Sure, there are most definitely small festivals out there that hold true to themselves and do it with purpose. And I suppose that's where the purists flock to, escaping the false harbor of commercialism and consumption. The gigs I see plastered all over Facebook during the summer resemble an orgy of self-absorbed fools more preoccupied with making sure they have been seen than really seeing.
I don't mean to be cynical, and I recognize that I'm not offering any better alternatives here. But I swear to God if I have to watch the RHCP headline one more time I'm going to lose it.
What do you all think?
This is a longer segment, part 2 of the performance on March 16th, 2013 in Va Beach. The memories, the vibes, the colors, the energy, the music! Gotta love some Galaxy Dynamite.
"You probably have a lot of questions surrounding the name ‘Pindhurst Farms.’ Well, our answer to any of those would simply be, use your imagination. The Long Island based band was officially formed in spring 2011 by Jeff Johnson and Drew Pouliot as a jam/indie/pop project. The band was soon joined by Drummer Jenna Noe. After some time, bassist Pouliot, had stepped up to guitar and the band then obtained bassist Nicole Lovisa. By Taking inspiration from rock, pop, and ska music and mixing in a jam aspect, Pindhurst Farms has created a sound that sets them apart from other bands today" - Pindhurst Farms

Hailing from Ukraine, The Children of the 90's takes us back to the 90's with that acoustic and classic 90's vibe. Although native to Ukraine, the lead singer does a great job blending that alternative 90's voice with the grungy acoustics and percussions. While the catalog of music may not be large, a few of their tracks were made into videos which can be seen here, on their YouTube page.
