Taylor Vanae

While Tupac Shakur, Da Brat and Left Eye became heavy influences as a child, Taylor Vanae remembers growing up with a book in her hand at all times. She was required to read a book everyday and report to her mother all about what she had read. Needless to say, Taylor Vanae mastered reading and rapping at the same time. By the age of 10, Taylor Vanae walked into a music studio, boldly stood in front of a microphone and spit a dope lyrical rhyme that shook her whole family. It was then, that her mother realized her baby girl's electrifiying gift. Taylor would evolve her artistry throughout the years performing at open mic's and showcases throughout the southeast from Georgia to Florida. Taylor Vanae released her first mixtape “Black Card Street Credit, Mixtape Volume I” in 2013 which she wrote and produced. Since then, having shared the same stage with local big name arists she had admired growing up like Big Tigger, Da Brat and Jonica ‘Blu’, Biz Markie, Ying Yang Twins and more,  Taylor Vanae continues to aspire to her legacy as an artist one hit after another...Read More

Angelle

Angelle is an R&B/Soul singer-songwriter out of Brooklyn, New York. Growing up in a musical family, she was always encouraged to follow her dream and aspire to great things in life, as well as in music. By the time Angelle was five years of age, she knew that singing was what she wanted to do, and by the age of ten she was writing her own music. Her biggest influence might have been her father, who believed in her dream from the time she was a little girl - but in fact, she feels that everybody in her life has contributed to her creative goals in some way, shape or form. Not least of all, two of her uncles enjoyed great commercial success in Haitian music, a legacy she is determined to carry on.

- (See videos below)

Angelle has won several awards for her songwriting, starting in high school with the Grammy Day competition, and more recently making it to the semi-finals in the Song of The Year contest for her original song Why. Inspired by the iconic voices of Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Motown, Chaka Khan, Anita Baker, Mary J Blige, Jazmine Sullivan, Lauryn Hill, Patti Labelle, Marvin Gaye, Bessie Smith, Billie Holiday and Sara Vaughn, she dreams of playing the part of Aretha in a yet-to-be-made biopic, and hopes to one day sing the national anthem at the Super Bowl. Her debut EP Rêvé (Life’s But a Dream) was released in 2015, and promises to be a moment like so many others in her life, one that leads her on to something greater. Angelle is a graduate of the University of Albany, and is proud to have been part of the Open Door Scholarship program.

- (Video Performance below)

When she isn’t making music, she is passionate about humanitarian pursuits, and has been instrumental in building a foundation to help bring the arts back to the lives of Haitian children. In life as well as in music, and especially in honor of her family and heritage, Angelle will always carry the torch for the legacy left behind and continue to explore its boundless potential. In 2016 Angelle decided to release her new materials that signifies the growth of the acceptance of who she was becoming. Angelle's new single 12 am is very explicit. This song exploits Angelle's grown and mature side. Angelle is also currently working on new materials and cant wait to share them with her fans

The following clips were from Angelle's performance at Caffe Vivaldi Never Stop Loving You Marry You - Original Why Neither One of Us Stuck On You - Original Dance With Somebody (Whitney Houston Cover)

Kousan

Side Effects by Kousan

"Kousan is an up and coming music producer/artist born and raised in NYC. Kousan has evidence of his musical talents dating back to the age of 5 where he started out with just a keyboard and a voice. His talents became apparent and his mother proceeded to push him towards his dreams. His knowledge and passion for music; stems from his early beginnings with the musicians and singers of his local church. Young Kousan in church was surrounded by many talented musicians and singers that lead him to learn the organ and the drums. With inspiration and motivation around him, at the age of 14 he began to pursue his career as a solo artist. Keeping his musical roots in mind, he sought out more knowledge on styles and genres of music. This personal journey through music led him to discover another level to his music. He created a unique sound that blends the strengths of R&B, HIP-HOP and Pop carefully together to form a sound and style all his own. His unique sound and ability to write and produce music with the knowledge of music engineering, mixing, and mastering is what propels him into the music industry. Through years of experience he learns the ins and outs of the music business, and uses that knowledge to become a producer full time.

Currently Kousan is a producer/artist with Republic House Management. Kousan music is an expression and it moves the soul. It has the ability to alter moods and change the focus of people’s minds. Kousan music is always original and unconventional in its entirety, he never writes about what others are writing about. He keeps his music close to him and always real, never typical nor mainstream. Kousan keeps the originality and realness of his music fresh because he realizes his music is powerful and can provide real release to his listeners. He likes to tackle real issues and experiences that people can relate to. Kousan is currently in the works of shooting the video for his single 'Side-Effects' off his untitled project due later this year. Check out the new single side effects available now on itunes."

Retro

Retro was born and raised in Broward county. Growing up was somewhat of a difficult thing to remember, being that he faces multiples of challenges. Being the youngest of four brothers, brought him many skills that would help in creating self-confidence. Up until the age of 6, he can remember his brothers constantly training me how to physically defend myself. With a growing rage of determination building my character, Retro later learned how to transfer his energy into more positive avenues. Retro first starting singing in the church choir. He was only a kid when he got his first solo, just a vague memory that he always remembers as he fell in love with music. As an artist Retro pursues an angle of self-evolving intelligence. For entertainment purposes, Retro is an imaginary friend to all listeners. He will come off to the audience as an inception to the realistically of human relationships. Like every super hero, Retro will rescue the minds of his listeners. During his Sophomore year of high school, it was then he began to pursue music outside of my norm. Retro joined the school chorus, where he began to read and write choral music. In which we made to our states competition and got superiors for the first time in our school history. 2016 is when he made the journey to New York to really pursue music full-time, being sign to Republic house mgmt. He was able to start working on his Untitled project which is due out this year.
